  • From Star Stole Bk #103 ©1953

This is a fascinating stitch pattern, used for a shrug in the 1953 Stole Book #103 by Star Thread Co.
One interesting feature is that it alternates one strand of yarn with holding two strands of yarn together while crochet.
These are bundled vertical bars, sort of like shells stacked on split clusters. The result reminds me of star-like asterisks but aren’t made anything like real Star stitches.
